Self-proclaimed coffee and tea enthusiasts Ottimo Coffee are dedicated to providing high quality and sustainable beverage products Australia-wide. They aspire to create an experience through drinking coffee, whilst offering knowledge, enthusiasm and passion to every shopper that walks through their door.

Roasted locally in Melbourne, Ottimo Coffee are always working to develop new and exciting coffee blends to surprise and delight their growing customer base. They also continually strive to provide sustainable and environmentally focused solutions to the coffee industry. 

With an on-site HQ retail store and espresso bar location in Cheltenham, as well as a thriving e-commerce site, Ottimo Coffee delivers premium coffee, equipment and services to coffee aficionados, workplaces, cafes and homes.

The Brief

Having built an already strong network and community of loyal customers and coffee advocates, Ottimo Coffee were looking for a way to reward their existing customer base and increase purchase retention. 

With sustainability always at the forefront of their operations, Ottimo Coffee approached Stamp Me to assist them in providing a digital loyalty solution that would reach their existing customers, potential consumers and work towards achieving their purpose: spreading their love of speciality and premium coffee. 

They wanted to reward not only coffee drinkers in their store, but also those customers who buy their specialty coffee beans, all wrapped up in one seamless solution.

Key Objectives

Ottimo Coffee, together with Stamp Me, strived to:

Ottimo Coffee

 Loyalty Program Works

The Ottimo Coffee loyalty program consists of three different loyalty cards: for coffee drinks, 500g and 1kg take-away bags of ground or whole roasted coffee beans.

Each card is differentiated by a unique description at the front of the card, and a custom stamp icon so they can be clearly identified.

Coffee Card: 

  • Customers earn a stamp for every coffee they purchase 
  • After 7 stamps they are rewarded with a voucher for a free cup of coffee
  • The reward is stored in the customer's account, ready to be redeemed on their next visit. They have no reward expiration date set up.

500g Coffee Bag Card: 

  • Customers earn a stamp for every 500g coffee bag they purchase 
  • After 7 stamps, they are rewarded with a voucher for a free 500g bag of coffee
  • The reward is stored in the customer's account, ready to be redeemed on their next visit. They have no reward expiration date set up.

1kg Coffee Bag Card: 

  • Customers earn a stamp for every 1kg coffee bag they purchase 
  • After 7 stamps, they are rewarded with a voucher for a free 1kg bag of coffee
  • The reward is stored in the customer's account, ready to be redeemed on their next visit. There is no reward expiration date set up.

To redeem their reward, customers select the reward from the Stamp Me App, press ‘Redeem’ and show the lovely Ottimo Coffee staff members the animated date-and-time stamped voucher. They validate it and give the customer their reward. A simple yet fun way of motivating customers to return. 

Promotion

Ottimo Coffee’s staff are well-equipped and knowledgeable about their Stamp Me loyalty program, understanding its ins and outs and the benefits of rewarding their customer base.

Upon purchase, staff are quick to explain how the program works. They incentivise all shoppers to download Stamp Me to join by letting them know they have only six more purchases until they receive their free item.

They also have made use of our free marketing materials, which have been displayed in-store.

Campaigns

As well as their stamp cards, Ottimo Coffee has initiated Stamp Me’s Birthday Club feature. It celebrates their customers' birthdays with a personalised SMS message delivered directly to the customers phone.

They will also automatically receive a free coffee voucher to the Stamp Me App on their special day, an added incentive to come to the venue to collect their reward.

With the Birthday Club, Ottimo Coffee successfully honours their loyal shoppers with a feel-good surprise.

In only a few short months, Ottimo Coffee has quickly seen great success with their loyalty program.

With over 25,000 stamps issued to date and hundreds of customers joined, this booming cafe has worked to successfully achieve their key objectives whilst spreading their passion for coffee nationwide.
