How Do I Send SMS Text Messages?
Once we have enabled the SMS feature for you, follow the same step-by-step instructions as for how to send push notifications and just make sure you change your communication method from the drop-down bar to SMS message:
How to send text messages step-by-step on the Merchant Dashboard:
Open the Merchant Dashboard and go to ‘Broadcast’ in the side menu under ‘Communications’
Click on ‘Location’ and select your desired locations
Click on ‘Select Offer’ to choose which group of offer users you would like to communicate with, otherwise select ‘All Offers’
Select communication method as ‘SMS text message’ from the drop down options (when we’ve activated this feature for you)
Click the blue ‘Select’ button and wait for the customer list to populate. All customers will automatically be selected.
To deselect and choose individual contacts, wait for all customers to load and then press ‘✓’ at the top left to deselect. To access more filtering options, such as last stamped venue, press the three lines to the right hand side of the table, select the information you would like appear in a column, and sort the relevant column by ascending or descending. Select individual customers by clicking the relevant lines (highlighted in blue)
Type your message into the text box (max 140 characters)
Press ‘Send’ the ‘yes, proceed’ on the confirmation pop-up, or add a reward as per below instructions:
Add a reward (optional):
Follow the above instructions 1 – 6 and then:
Go to ‘Give Reward to Customers’ and click on the toggle to turn it on
Fill in the number of rewards you would like to give, the name of the reward and the expiry date (if any). If you do not want the reward to expire, enter ‘0’
Add an image for your reward (optional). Make sure it is a .jpg file and 300x300px
When you’re ready, click ‘Send’ and then ‘yes, proceed’ to confirm. Your text message has been sent!
